Members of the Equity & Social Justice Committee educate members about issues that include, but are not limited to: culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, ability, size, socio-economic status, age, faith and religious diversity within the educational community and society. They develop members’ awareness of equity and social justice materials and programs, as well as provide opportunities for continued education of members in areas of equity and social justice.
The committee shall consist of a Local Executive member and a minimum of two (2) other members appointed by the Executive.
