The WRDSB has submitted the ROEs to Service Canada. For those Occasional Teachers applying to EI who were waiting on the ROE, you claims should have been processed at this time.
Make sure to check your account on ServiceCanada to see the status of your EI claim, or to see if there are still outstanding issues regarding your ROE.
- If there is an issue with your EI claim, contact Service Canada. It should be complete for all employees in the next couple of days.
- If there is an issue with your RoE, contact the WRDSB payroll department.
If you received an overpayment on July 15th from the WRDSB, do not report the amount of the overpayment.
If your EI claim results in an overpayment or underpayment, the error will be corrected in a future EI payment. Be prepared for a smaller amount if you were overpaid.
Please check your email for details. If you are not receiving emails from the local, please update your information with us. As your union, we require a personal email (non-wrdsb) to ensure your privacy and confidentiality (as the WRDSB has full access to all your @wrdsb.ca emails).
This message is being distributed as a courtesy to the the WRDSB The following is an update regarding the security incident we notified you about last week. Staff in Information Technology Services (ITS), Payroll and Human Resources and Equity Services have been working tirelessly to restore system functionality, while also navigating some of the same individual concerns every staff member is experiencing. Please know that we are aware that this is a stressful time for many staff and while we have made progress we are not fully functional and are not yet able to answer all of your questions. Thanks to their hard work, we are pleased to be able to provide the following updates: Automatic Pay Deposits – July 29 WRDSB staff who receive automated payments without submitting time sheets can expect to receive their pay, as usual, on Friday, July 29. Full functionality has not yet been restored, and so some systems related to payments are not accessible. We will process other payments as soon as we are able. Questions? If you have questions or concerns please contact payroll_questions@wrdsb.ca Records of Employment – Service Canada We want to update staff that we are working towards providing Service Canada with Records of Employment (ROE) for those staff submitting employment insurance claims. We hope to provide the electronic ROE to Service Canada in the next week. Applying for Employment Insurance without a Record of Employment Employees who need a Record of Employment will have already received instructions from their Union on how to apply for employment insurance without one. If you need this information and have not yet received it, please contact your Union representative. We are committed to doing everything we can to assist you as we restore system functionality. Thank you for your patience, it is greatly appreciated. |
